The Office of Diaspora Affairs (ODA) under the Office of the President – South West State of Somalia works closely with SWS diaspora community organizations, associations, and service groups across the world.
Our goal is to build a coordinated and recognized network of SWS Somali diaspora organizations that contribute to development, humanitarian action, and peacebuilding in the South West State and Somalia.
Through the State Diaspora Registry, ODA ensures that all diaspora community structures are connected to official channels, share information effectively, and receive institutional support for collaboration and visibility at both State and National levels.
By registering your community organization, you become part of a growing movement that strengthens the link between the SWS diaspora and homeland — helping us plan better, work smarter, and deliver together.
Beyond the Diaspora Registry, ODA partners with government bodies, international organizations, and private sector actors to strengthen diaspora engagement and development outcomes.
Coordination with national and state institutions to align diaspora policies with development goals.
Collaboration with global agencies to promote migration management, livelihoods, and peacebuilding.
Facilitating diaspora investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Partnering for skills transfer, research, and policy support.
Partnering with ODA means joining a trusted government institution that connects Somali talent, capital, and expertise with opportunities for national growth.
